3.25 inches tall and almost 6 inches across, not looked into this yet, wonder if it was part of the Brierley college who also had a glass department.

says on that site that Ian and Vic Bamforth, Stephen Foster and Pete Fricker were all formerly students of Dudley College's International Glass Centre:
