Looking at photos of these scent bottles online it appears that the base of yours is a bit more uneven than most - assuming that is not an artefact of the photograph. Saying that, they appear not to be polished flat and many show some variation, I searched high and low for the photo I did have for the base of this one but unfortunately it is long gone.

The base is not flat can feel the bumps, I think that the photos of the bases of those on line do appear to be smoother and perhaps lower than mine?  Job to be certain without having another to feel. Photos can be deceiving so not sure really. Thanks for your interest and help.
