Blue glass vase ID please.
« on: January 23, 2022, 04:48:28 PM »
Hello fellow members.
Can anyone shed any light on this vase please, ie, maker or country of origin.
It is quite heavy and the design is in relief.
Height is inches.
The rim is flat and polished.
I was thinking possibly Italian...Empoli or one of such makers. But it also has that Scandinavian shape to it too.
I've Googled it but have drawn a blank.
As always, thanb you for any help/input.

:) Might it be a hyacinth vase?
What is the neck hole like? Is it even and round, where a bulb would sit nicely and allow the roots to grow down into the water?
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)

Hi - the height may well be in inches, but we'd still like you to tell us what it is -  thanks. ;D

;D - that's fine  -  just a shame that it didn't turn out to have a better pedigree.

I agree Paul re the pedigree. It really is well made. I know that the Chinese are improving their wares so perhaps this is one of those pieces where quality is paramount in the factory.
Indeed Chopin...I noticed the price!!!
