Victorian Paperweight /dump unusual base

Hi all
Stumbled across this fascinating site,and was wondering if anybody could shed some light on this item.
Unlike any other dump ive seen this one has a base stamped C.TAYLOR LIVERPOOL.
im a little bit stumped on age history ect , I have 3 of these so i would rather like some info if anyone has seen anything like this and if Bases like this are unusual.
