Uranium Candlestick - ID = Sowerby 689 pattern
« on: January 29, 2022, 11:36:16 AM »
This 9" uranium candlestick is in a dark mint/fern green colour. I had a search and can't yet identify an English maker, I found a couple online in the same pattern, but unidentified, which were in America so it's possible it's American.

French?  That raised oval design always reminds me of the Saint Louis/Baccarat pressed glass designs.  Have you checked the Launay Hautin catalogues?

Thanks flying free, I've looked at the Launay Hautin and Baccarat catalogues and there are some with a similar ovals decoration but nothing exactly the same. I'll keep looking.

Great find.  Thanks for the links.  Those patterns in the books are so architecturally pleasing in the way they've been drawn :)
