IDENTIFICATION REQ. PLS - OLD CRYSTAL WINE GLASS / CHALICE
« on: February 10, 2022, 02:20:29 PM »
Good Afternoon,

I was advised to contact your lovely group to help identify a lovely, what I think is, old crystal chalice

It is 6" in height / 3" diameter at rim / 3 3/8" diameter at foot

The foot is sunburst cut

Total weight:  296g

Bowl has pan rim - cut with a frosted leaf (?) design.  Looks stunning from above

Bowl approximately 2.75" deep

6-sided faceted stem, with knop

No other identifying marks.  Undamaged

Thank you in advance of replies. Lorna

Note:  If someone could please advise me how I attach photographs of the correct size.  The ones saved on this computer are too large and will not be accepted. Thanks

Hello Lorna, and welcome to the board. If you'd like to look at my Techie Tip in our Help forum you will find suggestions about resizing images.
http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,34093.0.html

If, after trying those options, you still have problems posting them please drop me a line and I'll help resize them for you.
Cheers! Anne, da tekniqual wizzerd

Hi,

I'm sorry, I cannot download Paint Pro on this machine - it is old, and there is not enough disk space

If you could let me know how I can get the photos to you, as I'm really keen to find out more about this glass

Thanks, Lorna

Hi Lorna, there are other options in that topic as well for you to check out. The online services shrinkpictures and picresize are things you could try.

If you have a Windows machine then you should have the Paint program that will allow you to resize your images and save them for the web. Use the resize option to set the longer edge to 500 pixels and it should come in at under 120kb in file size.

If you get stuck email me at support@glassmessages.com with your images and I'll sort them for you.
