Orange Bottle With Fish Stopper ID Help Please
« on: April 14, 2022, 11:22:25 AM »
Hello, does anyone please have any information on this piece? There's no marking on the base and I can't find anything similar online. Thank you...

Quite like that - reminds me of the Babel Fish ;D

Presumably not a perfume bottle? What size is it?

I held off describing it as a scent bottle, because; fish. But I can't think what else it would be! It's 17cm tall.

I’m developing a complex - don’t think they’re that big :o ;D Could do with a Babel Fish but not sure they can read....

Reasonable size then. On the off chance, I  had a quick look in McConnell’s decanter book (at the more modern end) but nothing there.

Fish sauce?

 ;) It does look like a Babel fish, but the plug bit is rather large.

Maybe I'm a bit old - ekimp, I was trying to be funny and referring to an ancient riddle.
Why do elephants have Big Ears? Because Noddy wouldn't pay the ransom.
I didn't mean to be personal at all.  :-[

Trying to be sensible now;
Could it be for bath salts? Fish are often appropriate for bathroom decor.

Thank you for looking Ekimp  :) Yes, could be bath salts or fish sauce. Though it strikes me as being more for something cosmetic than food.
