Thanks for checking and getting back. I wonder how they achieved the clear band at the top, they have ground away the red overlay at some point, presumably after the hot work was finished. You would think they would’ve just ground the rim at the same time. Hope the new hobby doesn’t take much shelf space ;D

It might not have been cased completely to the top Ekimp.
There are other examples where the casing doesn't quite go to the top I think - I seem to remember wondering about why some pieces have a faint clear edge at the rim.
