Ivo:
so it could also have been made by Süssmuth - at least the choice is now down to 2 options.
Frank:

Hi,
According to Lesley Jackson's "20th Century Factory Glass" p 203, Sipek's contribution to Süssmuth was a range of drinking glasses called "Glasdans". No mention of other pieces, functional or ornamental.
I still think Daum/Sevres is the candidate for manufacture of this piece.

Marcus
Ivo:
my posting went missing.
The item has been identified by Della as the bottom part of a decanter set made circa 2000 as a Christmas present for the workers at the DSM Chemical plant. She also managed to find the missing top part so I now have it complete.
