Please to find this vase recently and just identified from part of the number on the base, the reg design is for trailing leaves and flowers of honeysuckle checkout Victorian decorative glass by Gulliver. Has a nice uv glow thanks Mike

That's a great find - love the honeysuckle, very unusual.

Thanks m, I bought it from a nice dealer but he thought it was Steven and Williams and the remains of the number on the base 184 was from an exhibition but I thought that was unusual. Probably a selling ploy. I couldn’t find the shape in my books but searched 184 in the Great Glass registrations and found 36184 and then gullivers book showed an illustration of the honeysuckle and leaves. So quite pleased I managed to identify.  It’s quite heavy when you compare with other similar pieces and the white opaline is more lime green than I’ve seen before.
Yeah so it unusual and rare..

Mike, how is the pontil mark finished?  is it cracked off and left rough/sharp?
I'm curious as to how they did the reg mark - is that an applied disc of glass?

It's also good to have the shape confirmed as Walsh Walsh.  These things are usually very difficult to pin down.

It's difficult to make out on the photo although your pics are great.

The registered design is not for the shape but for the applied decoration checkout the illustration for registered design 36184 it’s for a trail with leaves opposite each other and then the flower, many registered designs were for the decorations, feet and prunts rather than the shape.
I’m not an expert on Pontil marks but it’s not rough it appears a thin round disc covers the Pontil with an additional lump of glass that has the registered design number stamped on. This only shows “184” as the preceding digits and part of the additional lump of glass are missing. Hopefully these are better pictures. Thanks

Thank you so much for the absolutely fantastic photos and description.

That will be really helpful in identifying future pieces in this type and style of glass.

Here are some comparisons, the left and middle one are unmarked and I think Bohemian Welz or Harrach they have a flat base rim mmm, the Walsh one has a much smaller rim area that it sits on. If you know who made the bohemian ones please share thanks, Mike

They are both most likely Harrach; the basket certainly is because of those small pink and white flowers, which are a Harrach thing. They are not Welz
