Help with identifying Orange bark style
« on: September 14, 2022, 05:09:41 PM »
Good Evening, I've a recent ebay acquisition which I can't identify. It's got a Tajima cross Whitefriars feel to it.  It's about 25cm high , feels good quality with a nice clean polished pontil. The bark texture is a little more "ribbed" than whitefriars. Shapewise its coffin cross leaf. Any ideas most welcome.
Thanks, Tom

It has a Kumela look to it, but a quick look couldn't find it. But you may want to search them further.

Hi, Thanks not heard of Kumela. I've had a look and the texture is certainly similar just need to find a shape match.
Thanks, Tom

If it is them, it'll be a Kaj Blomqvist design, but I haven't found it yet.
There's a Scandinavian glass group on facebook you can try if you get no luck here.
Good luck!

With two 'colours' like that I would look at Japanese makers as well.
