neilh has a catalogue image and photo of one of these on his M&W site, apparently likely to date to the 1850's. Height Is 5 1/2".

I have a pair and the density is super high at 3.46g/cc
The late Barrie Skelcher, of the uranium glass books, felt that these top end values could potentially come from Barium being added.

Thanks Neil, mine is about 3.25g/cc., that's if my scales are accurate. I suppose I'll have to look for another one.
