Large Frosted Art Deco Float Bowl floral patterns
« on: February 24, 2023, 08:41:28 PM »
Found this large bowl in a charity shop on the coast recently on a trip
and it had been there a few weeks without being purchased i thought
it was quite a nice one and seems to have a raised foot where it may fit
into a stand, As i have had similar in the past which had similar sized
protrusions on the base. I would love to get any ideas on its maker it
is around 10 3/4" x 4" in dimensions.. Couldn't find on prss pavilion

Maker unknown as far as I can recall, although believe they are French in origin. This pattern can be found on smaller bowls too.

Don't think it would ever have had a related stand,

Cheers Greg your information explains exactly why i was unable to find it, The weight is hefty for a bowl of its type
and i did think it reminded me of an Arrers type bowl only when i first saw it of course but your information is perfect.
