Strathearn Vase? Vasart? Something else? - ID = Vasart
« on: February 24, 2023, 09:10:16 PM »
Hi guys,

Looking for an ID of maker/age on this vase please.
I’ve been told it’s Scottish.
It’s quite large judging by other Strathearn Vases, at 24cm tall and 19cm wide at its widest and weighs 1.4kg

Photos attached.

Many Thanks,
Steven

Vasart, I believe. It has the wee round button over the pontil scar on the base. Strathearn used a bigger and much flatter button with a leaping salmon impressed into it.  :)

Welcome to the board!  ;D (nearly forgot to say that in my enthusiasm to answer!)
Cheers, Sue M. (she/her)
