Help to ID this glass Lion/Tiger/Puma/Dog/Creature
« on: April 13, 2023, 03:26:44 AM »
This has been bugging me for a while now. I have combed through every catalog and website that I could find, and yet I can't find any new information on it. It's been added to the EAPG database as a piece with an unknown maker, but I'm not completely convinced that it's American. However, I haven't located it in any European catalog either. It measures 6.5" L x 5" H. Looks to have been a salt cellar maybe?

Welcome to the board, unfortunately yours photos aren't visible. You can try the information section for how to post photos or perhaps give a link to the EAPGS page relating to the item.

Yeah, it was giving me inconsistent results when I checked the page on different devices.

I don't recognise it but I'll have a search round. With the tuft on the end of it's tail I think it's supposed to be a lion. You could try the Collectors' Weekly site.

I'll second lion from the tuft on the tail.
What about trying a search of Pamela's pressed glass website and museum?
Make sure you're comfy and have a nice cup of something. We'll send out a search party if you are not seen for a week.  ;)

If this was found in the USA could it be based on a moose or elk and the antlers form the shape of the bowl??
Regards Mike

This was actually what I was thinking when I bought it haha, but has paws and a tail. I joke that it's a moose/lion/dog/camel hybrid lol.

It has paws with claws, not hooves. :)
