An unusual Alum Bay bit, with an oval plastic sticky label. I think it is a bit later than the JIP style of cloudy subtle multicoloured decor.
I think this is a really rather sophisticated thing. Very neat and precise. What looks like foil or tiny bubbles is just a reflection of the velvet it's sitting on.

Thanks for the explanation re the Shelves Sue :)  I like that.

Also the photos of the paperweight Christine and the bowl Sue.    Often things like this are posted on here with no labels but great decors and colours so it's lovely to see them clearly and close up and identified to use as future reference.
