Fine cut crystal jug
« on: July 21, 2023, 08:05:43 AM »
I would appreciate some guidance on the identity of this cut crystal jug. It seems excellent quality; heavy, mouth blown and hand cut. I've seen other similar jugs online saying early 19th century, but it could be much later, I guess. Thanks for your assistance.

A top view and the base. The pontil mark has been ground out concave.

It looks a very Stuart-y shape to me.  :)
I have found marks on the underside of handles of jugs.

It will post date about 1870 as it was around then that they started using the bottom up handle attachment.
