Interesting to see the Iittala Lappi example. Looking around I've also noticed a range of different base variants with Aseda.

Unfortunately, I don't have the Pina book you reference, it's always been a book I've been thinking of picking up! I'll see if there are any reasonably priced copies going.

Have sent an email with photo Greg. The image helps to confirm Aseda used a shape like this but does not id your vase as Aseda.

Looking again it also suggests that they used dimple like indents in the sides of some bases - although hard to be certain if that is genuine or an artefact of reflection within that photo.

Many thanks for the photo John.

I think the shape of my piece might be ever so slightly more cylindrical in comparison, but it is quite close.

I think you are right about the second indent to the side of the base on the book example, I have seen a few others with this feature. I think there are other variations too.

I'll certainly keep an open mind until something concrete turns up, thanks for your help it's much appreciated.
