Glass Fair Goodies
« on: October 22, 2023, 08:41:54 PM »
I had a wonderful glassy day, talked glass all day, saw (and handled) some wonderful pieces, and came home with some goodies.

Isle of Wight Landscape perfume bottle.  Seascape vase, signed by Michael Harris.
Karlin Rusbrooke biggie and a Jonathan Harris smallie.

Suzy was like the proverbial kid in a sweet shop and having a wonderful time with it.

I have to admit that being let loose in the glass fair created an over-excited, giggly teenager.  I played 'name the maker' on lots of pieces, before looking at the label - getting most of them right so that was a lot of fun.  Being pretty much housebound I only get to see photos of glass, trawling ebay does allow me to find some goodies but being immersed in such a riot of glass for hours was wonderful.

You mean you watched while she spent  ;D ;D

I wandered around in my own daydream, admiring all the fabulous glass available and hoping to find a nice bit of Mdina for my collection. There were a few nice early bits but nothing that would fill an existing hole in my hoard. Had to console myself with a Pauly & Co goblet. ;D
