Murano Glass Vase for ID*
« on: December 24, 2023, 09:16:41 PM »
Good Evening, Glass-aficionados.

Can anybody help Identify this Vase please? I believe it to be Murano glass. It not marked on the base, no (obvious) markers mark on the base or neck. All searches have yield no results for similar pieces or formal ID.

Thanking you kindly.

Welcome to the board. To help you, we always need dimensions and base and rim shots, even if you think there is nothing to see

Hi Lustrousstone,

Message received. Pictures updated with additional images + dimensions for inspection.

There is a peculiar swirl / possibly maker's mark on the bulbous side.

Dimensions: 15cm (W) x 30cm (H)

Thank you.

Thank you, though next time please add pictures as attachments so they don't use too much bandwidth. I suspect this is modern Chinese (one of the nicer ones) from the matte-ground pontil mark, use of copper aventurine, large size and opaque colours. I think the "mark" is just a blip.
