Champion & Slee Ltd./W.A. Bailey? Vinegar Bottle
« on: January 06, 2024, 11:26:43 AM »
There are a few of these 15" tall bottles about, Champion & Slee were at one time the largest UK producer of vinegar. I can't definitely attribute a maker but it carries the Rd.No.698987 which dates it to between 16/6 and 9/8/1923. This is in the middle of three registrations by W.A. Bailey who produced glass for the food industry, so I'm pretty sure it is by them. It has 1477 pressed in the bottom, I assume it's the pattern number.
"I hear you're a racist now father!" Father Ted.
