Fine Murano Glass Plate Possibly Made By Ercole Barovier????

(1/1)

LEGSY:
Picked up four plates in a charity shop recently the pictures are of one
of them the others have slight differences in the ribbon colors
in  between the copper latticino  segments. Question is who made them there is one
with a finger bowl on EBAY described as Ercole Barovier which has a typical cherub face clear
medallion either side of the bowl so it might well be that?? Hope someone maybe able to help with
dating them also they are very thin glass not sure how they have managed to stay in one place
as they do not look modern.

LEGSY:
pictures of one of the other plates very similar but
with slight differences in the ribbons colors??

ardy:
Lovely bowls regardless of the imperfections in them. The first as you suggest has hints of Barovier and Toso cordonato d'oro and the second I've no idea. This could be the work of an advanced student or teacher trying to copy famous Murano styles. They are very lovely in their own right.
