Cased Amethyst Trianglar Vase - Help with ID please
« on: April 16, 2024, 04:41:33 PM »
Any opinions on origin / maker / age for this vase would be appreciated.

It was given to me a couple of months ago, the lady who gave it to me thought it might be an old Ikea vase. Although it has a passing resemblance to the Okso vases, it is completely different. If it had been an Ikea vase I would have expected to find many examples on the web, not a single one that looks anything like it anywhere.

It does have a Scandinavian feel about it. Broadly triangular in shape coming to a sharp point on one edge from a 9.5cm flat spine, it is 39cm tall and 17cm at the widest point. It stands on a triangular ridged base. The vase weighs a hefty 1.7kg.

Any thoughts woud be welcome.
