Hello!

I recently acquired this jack in the pulpit vase (thrift store purchase). The bottom is polished and there is a clear signature on it; however, I cannot clearly make it out. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Well the second word looks like it is Glass. so now all we need is to guess the first. 

First letter is perhaps a P or a B
Second letter seems to be a "u" or perhaps an "ea" combination
Next letter is a "t" it seems
Then an "i" probably
Finally ? - maybe an "n" or and "s" or even both.  or at a pinch "ng"

Guess #1 - Putin
Guess #2 - Butin
Guess #3 - Peatin
Guess #4 - Beatin

With your help, I was indeed able to identify this. :)

It looks like this is a piece from "Berting Glass" (based in my province; known for glass wheat stocks). I never knew they made vases, but I found one picture of a blue version of my vase here:
