Secessionist (?) engraved glass vase
« on: June 04, 2024, 12:04:32 PM »
Here is an interesting vase, about, 25cm high, really well engraved, but in a naive style, using lots of different techniques. Initial thoughts were Dagogebert Peche or another Wiener Werkstatte artist. Decorated in the round with a river flowing through villages and countryside, with fish, leaves and birds. Also similar to Edward Hald in his early work. No signatures or marks of any kind. Sharp edges to the foot and to the rim as expected from Continental glass.
Any other suggestions as to manufacturer and artist?
