Enameled goblet.Theresienthal? approximate date?
cagney:
This kind of glassware way beyond my knowledge base. Just under 9 inches tall [22.6 cm]. The design and quality of the enameled flower seems to match the early the early 20th century period, but I really don't know. Any information much appreciated.
flying free:
That's pretty. Does the base have a polished pontil mark? It's difficult to tell.
There are a number of Theresienthal goblets on this link but I couldn't see a match.

cagney:
Thanks for the link m. No polished pontil mark, more a sunken raised round button. I would suspect turn molded. The problem I am having is the date. Seems this type remade c.late 20th century by Theresienthal. See herehttps://scottishantiques.com/20th-century-glass/art-nouveau/?product_id=34010 this example marked, don't know if all remakes were. The peach colored stem not as common as the green it seems. Pictured another example with the exact pattern just missing the yellow in the petal and of lesser exicusion in my opinion [newer?] and a picture of mine. At this point I am thinking mine maybe 1920s.
These all over eBay U.S,A. invoking the name of Meyers Neff and even Fritz Heckert, as well as Theresienthal, so much for eBay
flying free:
yes I did notice rather a number of different variations that had a similar look when I searched.
I would have thought the base would have had a polished pontil mark had it been earlier. I don't know much about those without but presume they are machine made somehow? so that might indicate later than Art Nouveau era despite the design?
m
cagney:
Not machine made necessarily. This subject touched upon in earlier post.https://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,68955.msg384284.html#msg384284
The series of utube videos linked in this one quite interesting, although it doesn't show stemware being made. it does show a closed turn mold in use.https://glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,69228.0html
