Unusual glass goblet/vase in metal cage holder??
« on: August 22, 2024, 02:48:43 PM »
Bought this piece today and found it to be an unusual piece at first glimpse so could
not leave it behind, The glass is nice and thick and looked a bit Scandinavian but not sure.
The metal has signs of age i would not think it is a modern piece any way, The glass is a sort of
Amberina/red which fades down into a kind of of clear yellow tinged glass good weight too.
The piece could be also used as a great pint pot as it is the perfect size for a Stella or similar :)
Measures 7.5" tall and is circular but changes to square in the last 20% near the bottom.
Any ideas appreciated thanks .

sorry LEGSY, not the faintest idea  -  Amberina can often include cadmium, and those pieces, under uv, will glow yellow or orange  ................   have you tried the torch on this one?     Obviously this one blown into the metal frame.
