Sowerby 556 pickle jar c.1874
« on: October 27, 2024, 11:22:09 AM »
Originally bought as American in this patternhttps://www.eapgs.net/pattern-details.php?idx=4765. After looking in the 1874 Sowerby catalog it seems to be a excellent match with the 556 pickle jar pictured. The creamer pictured in the link comes very close to the Sowerby pattern.

I don't know anything about Sowerby but I love these lidded jars.  OH had one for years, I think from his mum, but I think we dropped it ::)
