Detailed description of an Edward Moore piece exhibited.

bottom of page 140 and top of 141. Detailed description of a bowl - couldn't find any example online in this pattern.  Ivy.
I could find black glass examples with a raised ivy pattern but that is not how the design is described in the report.

Also says 'The whole of their examples exhibited are pressed. The design and colour good.'

Isn't this describing the pattern I just showed, Moore plate 414? It was also made as a dish with pattern number 396. Looks like an ivy leaf to me.

oh my goodness - it could be! I'd looked at your plate without enlarging it and seen flowers!

So 1873 then.  Is this old news  ;D  Sorry!

I was more interested in the fact that Steigerwald and Schreiber were misspelt meaning searches would be useless but thought the Edward Moore report might be interesting.

I know nothing about pressed glass so that's my excuse for not noticing :)
