How to Tell Real Holmegaard Pigs From Fakes
« on: July 14, 2025, 02:45:09 PM »
Hello,

I've been collecting glass pigs for a while. Up until recently, my choices were nothing special - just what I like! - But I've recently become interested in, among other specific items, Holmegaard pigs.

I see endless listings for "Rare Holmegaard Pig" and I'm not particularly interested in rarity, but I would like to know how to tell a fake from a genuine Holmegaard. One listing in particular caught my eye recently because it is larger than the two sizes I normally see, and because I have never seen one before I am particularly suspicious!

Thank you for directing me to any resources - I appreciate your help.

It might be helpful FOR US to have a picture of what you are talking about (a genuine example from your collection)
