This is a 'carnival lamp' boxed with original candle, back in 1985 would have cost £14.95, early piece, 'Rio' pattern by Gwyneth Newland.

So it's the "small" one you have? Is it in two bits or one? The diagram makes it look as if it is two, so there would be a base to the bottom part and the globe bit would sit on top?
I rather like it. I like that the flame of the candle is enclosed and thus less likely to set things (like my sleeves) alight.  :)
But it would stop me from being able to play with the molten wax.  >:(  ;D

Yes in two parts but not very stable, the slightest touch would knock it over, probably why it's the first one I've ever seen.
