Cambridge Apple Blossom
« on: December 01, 2025, 11:53:57 AM »
These are a No.3400/68 creamer and sugar bowl in the Apple Blossom pattern, Etch No.744 in a pale yellow uranium glass. I think they date from the 1930's, the bowl has the C in a triangle mark.

They make a nice couple. Having seen an awful lot of Cambridge over the years I had never realized this yellow included uranium in the batch. I tend to like their opaque colors with the etching in gold.

Thanks cagney, yes they are a pretty pair. I believe uranium was added as a colour enhancer. Here's a photo taken under 395nm. UV light.
