Just who made this Ysart style cap badge paperweight?? ID = Possibly Belgian

I'm sure this could be a topic of fruitful study. These items crop up on ebay attributed to Paul Ysart - this item was purchased at a Jaguar fair for £6. I really am not convinced....

Shows an insignia Canadian Medical Corps on the cap badge itself. Clearly some age - possibly 1940's. But surely another glass maker??

There are a number of badge weights that I think might not be by Ysart (any of the family). Belgium is considered by some folk to be another source.

It is almost impossible to be sure about some of these weights. Bacause they were fairly simple one-off personal requests (and many may have been just "beer money" weights) the quality of the coloured bits and the setting would not have been too important.

I go along with Kevin here - the badge weights with a rather bland background are, I suspect, Belgian rather than Ysart.  The style is very similar, but when you compare two examples side by side they look a little different.  That said, I do not feel confident enough to stake my life on making the distinction!  Regards, Alan.
