I think if you use the appropriate keywords/speculations/lies in an eBay auction you can make almost anything "worth something".

You just have to check out the astronomical finishing prices for all manner of cheap tatt that sellers claim is haunted by powerful wish-granting genies and spirits.

don't assume anything - it's a minefield and does not answer the laws of glass. Things which in our perception are highly unexciting may skyrocket while attractive but abundant ones may prove unsellable. I was at the bulb vase collectors annual convention on Saturday and they have a raffle to decide who is allowed to buy what from whom!
