BG Glass

Hi, does anyone know anything about BG glass?  My wife has bought a vase, multicoloured with 4 twisted ribbons in, which has then been cased in more glass with multi coloured markings. On the base it has what looks like, BG Glass, W.Australia, 2006 or 2066, and a personal inscription. A very pretty piece of glass.
Best regards,
jal.

Hi jal,
Would like to see an image of this, if possible, please.
Can only find two possibles,  Balgo Glass, fused work from an aboriginal art community, from your description, unlikely.
Bowles Glass, run by Peter Bowles, seems the likelier candidate. W Australia does have its own artists directory at: www.artsource.net.au
Regards,
Le Casson

BG Glass is Beach Gecko Glass, which opens their studio today, so I have yet to have seen it! Peter has been invited along with visiting artist, Ed Schmidt and local personality, David Hay to do some demonstrations with all their brand new equipment.

I beleive that Laurie Fossier Mills made this piece with her son some time in February of this year.

Hope this information helps.
