Looking for some help with an old (19th century?) blown glas

(1/1)

argentgal:
Hi all,
I was directed over here by a friend who suggested that folks here might be able to help me.  I'm trying to find out anything I can about this large goblet.  It's hand blown with a finished pontil scar and I'm pretty sure the facets are hand cut too (not molded). It's lead crystal, rings beautifully and weighs a ton (over a pound). It's 6 1/8" tall and holds just under 12 ounces, filled to the brim.  Any light you can shed on this glass or suggestions you can make about places to research will be most appreciated!

I played with the contrast to show detail so the photos may look kinda funny.

For stemware and decanters, etc. the one site you can start at is Great Glass:

At least this might start you off in attempting to identify and date it.

And wading through replacements limited too. Finding simple designs is not an easy task.
