Hello

Your dish may be Patt no 9525 or 9526 ?

Cathy B:
Hi all,

I'm not a WF expert, but I'm sceptical of it being 9525 or 9526. If you look at the shape of the inside, yours is almost round, whereas the WF versions are triangular on the inside and outside - or to put it another way, in your piece, the glass gets much thicker at the corners, whereas the WF ones' walls are about equal in thickness all the way around. :?:  :?:  :?:

Needs Nic and Emmi (and David Fletcher if he's around...) to confirm or deny though.

Cazza:
Hi there have asked on the wf site and have now identified it as Pattern 9524 launched in 1959 and only in catalogues to 1961.

The colour is called Deep Blue cased in Crystal. They also came in Deep Green and Ruby, both cased in crystal.

The designer was Geoffrey Baxter and would have been one of his earlier designs before introducing his more famous textured range. It is also not a common item.

Thank you for your help on here thought I would give the information to you so that if you should ever come across another one you will know that it indeed is wf. I think I may well put it on ebay at a later date.
Many thanks

Hello Cazza

I notice David has left a reply on the Whitefriars site for you saying it might be patt no 9524. May be I was on the right track only one patt  number out if it is the same as your dish.
