Identified : Scandy? vase = Dartington FT28 Vase
Anne:
It must still have been exceeding one of the limits Bryn... but the one you've added is fine... and it can be found here... http://glassgallery.yobunny.org.uk/displayimage.php?pos=-4357 8)

Thanks Anne,
Still no ideas on the Scandy though? I saw Ivo's post re Zweisel but all the Zweisel's I've seen tend to have some sort of vague pattern design. This piece has some age with lots of base movement marks and weighs 1200gms, stands at 17cms tall or just under 7". The colour I would say is Kingfisher.

Ivo:
Zwiesel with IE please, "zweisel" makes no sense @ all.
"Kingfisher" as a colour only refers to Whitefriar's - it does not travel well. Whitefriar's is a local celebrity only.
and: re size, weight, finish, use of colour and definition your piece is quite typical for Zwiesel (who also produced for WMF) - just this specific model has not been identified.
Pinkspoons:
I'd opt for Zwiesel or similar, rather than Scandinavian.
The few Zwiesel pieces I have are equally undecorated (aside from an optic rib tumbler vase) and one or two are in a loosely similar vein to yours.

Hi,
The vase is by Dartington. Whilst searching through an old Dartington Catalogue for 1967 - 1968 for something completely different there it was before my very eyes, pattern number FT28, 6.5" tall. Kingfisher blue is also a Dartington colour.
The Scandy connection was there too as when the company was started in June 1967 the Managing Director was one Eskil Vilhemson A Swedish Glass Manufacturer who brought a team of Swedish Glass blowers with him to the Company's base in Torrington, (thanks Wikipedia).
Another puzzle solved.
