Amber jug - possibly Whitefriars?

(1/1)

josordoni:
Some id's please on a few more bits from my last haul...

this little piece was catalogued as Whitefriars, but I am not sure.. I certainly can't find it in any of the catalogues on wf.org, but I might have missed it?  Otherwise perhaps it is Scandi?

Lustrousstone:
Could equally well be Polish and Krosno - I have an amber jug with clear handle and ground out pontil with a Krosno label. Is is what I would describe as an orangey amber, rather than yellowish or brownish?

josordoni:
Hi Christine, yes definitely orangey amber rather than brownish.

I'll have a wander around and see what Krosno brings up

Pinkspoons:
I'd go with that attribution too - most of these types of pitchers poured out of Poland.

sph@ngw:
Bit too simple to be Whitefriars inmho. I have about six of their jugs and they all show a certain flair and originality. Polish would  be my bet too.Try listing it at www.whitefriars.com and see the result!
Stephen.
