Can anybody find the article about these silver topped vases?

A long time ago I read an article about silver topped vases. It stated that although the tops are often hallmarked for British silversmiths the vases were mostly imported from Europe. I think it even gave some details of who imported them or where they came from. I saw this pair on eBay just recently and I wondered if anybody else remembers that article, or indeed any other information about these kinds of vases:

 I have quite a few of these vases from the 1890s through to around 1930 and they are fascinating. Does anybody else collect them apart from me? And can anyone point me to that article?

I remember that ASCAS ( association of small collectors of antique silver ) did an article about silver topped items, i think the web page is www.ascasonline.??? can't remember if it's .com. .co. or .org, but i will see if i can root it out from my paper work.
