Is this Barovier & Toso?
« on: February 06, 2007, 04:58:24 PM »
Hi there!

I have found a vase for sale on Ebay that I like. The seller says it is by Barovier & Toso. There are no markings on it so how can I be sure if it is by them or not? I actually liked the look of the vase and then wondered who Barovier & Toso were but I can't tell if it is or not.

Can anyone help?

Thank you.

Craig

Welcome to GMB. Barovier and Toso is a Murano maker. I don't normally comment on live auctions but, as with all eBay listings, I would always advise anyone to check out the seller's credibility before proceeding...

Same here - very reluctant to say anything about ongoing auctions but caveat is in place. Could be Gistl or Meydam Tortuga - but you can only tell if you handle the real thing - and know all three.  So as interesting as it may seem - caveat.
