Post by: Simba on November 19, 2015, 11:58:49 AM
Just bought this cute dog shaped bottle it stand 2.75" high I assume it is Czech as it is similar to the dog 'cracker' charms ...but it has a Reg.No on the base which is very feint but appears to be 711339...can anyone tell me who this is registered to please.... :)

 :)
The modelling of the dog looks very like the modelling of Mosser buldogs - but they didn't make perfumes as far as I know. Interesting!

Bonzo was the name of a pupolar bulldog character at one point, it looked a bit like this too.

Anne thanks very much for that info...Yes Chopin-Liszt that's the dog I was thinking of...I have seen a bottle with the head as a lid but on a 'cut' glass bottle.

Mosser is an American company. I just wondered if there might have been some design crossover somewhere, given you have a reg number...
I was not suggesting your bottle is Mosser. :)

I think it's more than likely Bonzo was behind the popularity of this breed.

There was a ton of merchandising went along with him, and his popularity was world-wide.
