Title: Perthshire- information on age? My first glass paperweight!
Post by: sundropglass on May 10, 2021, 09:07:50 PM
My daughter found this glass paperweight for me from a secondhand shop and I’m quite fond of it, and wanted to learn more about the piece. I’m enjoying the beautiful images and information on this forum.
The label says Perthshire Paperweights.
Would anyone have guidance as to possible age, or authenticity of label?
I do not see the “P” image that seems to be prevalent in others of which I found images. There is a small dark dot visible in the right side of the image with the glass held to the window. Might this be a makers mark, or just a little flaw?
Any information would be quite welcomed!

The label is genuine; they don't all have P canes. It looks like an older PP1 to me, so possibly pre 1978, as it has a fire polished base and no P cane
