Info here on the Thomas Webb ones. I'll check the reference sources tomorrow.

These are a nightmare to identify. I have been researching my blue one for years.

There were a number made by Thomas Webb I think somewhere on the board. If I have a chance tomorrow I'll look at the references I have to see if the shape is there.

There are some made by Richardson signed on the base Richardson Vitrified.  I think there is one or two in the Corning and the V&A.

The green body has vertical facets as well.
Strange shaped top.  I does look as though it might have been cut down from some kind of trumpet shape perhaps?

I’m think Richardson’s vases in this style were signed.

Looking through my Charles Hajdamach I noticed on page 101 (!!?)a very similar motif illustrated by Richardson glass, but I suppose it could have been copied .Any thoughts most welcome .

I don’t know who made your nice vases but I recently came across the victorian book, Handbook of Ornament by Franz Meyer. It shows the origins of some of the ornamentation that you often see on victorian glassware.

For example, your palm decoration within a heart shaped scroll looks to be a copy of Greek designs, see plate 104 no.6 and 7, page 194. Also see plate 106 no.5 - design from Orléans railroad station, Paris.

Another good example is page 173 plate 92 no.2 that looks to be the origins of the Richardson acid etched design shown on page 182 of Hajdamach.

Glass / French Uranium Opaline Vase
« Last post by NevB on Today at 02:16:53 PM »
I think this 10" vase is either by St. Louis or Baccarat, in green uranium and white "pâte de riz" glass. It has probably been cut down as the rim is ground and not the usual fire polished finish, although the sides of the top section are straight and not curved as I might expect. The bottom of the top section is also closed off where it meets the green and the base is quite wide at 5" for a vase of this height. There's not one like it in Christine Vincendeau's book.

I have a few more to go from the collection. Make an offer, they need to go, or post here if you want me to add them to Vinted. My email isn't working properly at the moment.

The clear one came first, marked to the base, then the green one and today the blue, wonder why the coloured ones aren't marked .
