Hi
Can anyone tell me which Murano house this 'un hails from please? I would be grateful x Friday²

Or maybe someone might just confirm it's Murano origins so that I might auction it accurately?
TIA

Yes, it does appear to be a very good Murano bowl. It is probably from a good company, but I am terrible at attributing this type of glass. I usually see these types of bowls attributed to Seguso, Barbini, or Cenedese, but usually without any proof of attribution. You're safe saying Murano.

Anita - how kind - thank you. I shall get it listed when I can stop holding it, walking around with it, and saying to my wife "Shall we sell it or do you like it?" ::)
Thanks again,
Stuart.

Can this head off to Murano board now please?
Thanks.

Nice piece, but too popular and common to say a name. It was a kind of item really, really mass produced for 60 years.
Sincerely
Alex

Hi Alex
That's nice to hear - thank you. Could I take your time just a moment more to ask - approximately, of course - what is the latest year this might have been made?
Regards,

My opinion...early/mid 1960's upto the 70's...sommerso technique...although the casing is more prominent than the sommerso itself...similar to poli technique...but not...one of the lesser makers but still murano...weight and dimensions???....

Hi
I didn't get an email notification, so sorry for the delay.
The bowl is 5" across (side to side, not corner to corner) and 2¼" high. It weighs 800g. Sorry to mix imperial measurements with metric.

Hi,
they are still produced, but by far less than in the past. I don't trade these kind of items, but I have seen some in the "stock" sale this summer in a closing company in Sacca Serenella, Murano.
Ciao
Alex
