Post by: vintagerose on June 16, 2006, 01:14:48 PM
Is there a name for this type of drinking glass? Maker, Circa? Very heavy 1lb 9oz
5.5" Tall x 3.5" Mouth

The bowl is probably Indian but I don't know the pattern or circa?
Very heavy 9 oz 4" Across  x 2" deep x 2.5 " tall

Help is always appreciated,
Vintageroseblue
p.s. I will be away for 2 days

Thanks again, Have a great Father's day all you dad's!

Well if I was describing it I would probably call it a tankard, but I don't know if that is the official name when it is in coloured glass and this big!

Both of your pieces are pictured in A Collector's Guide to Black Glass 2 by Marlena Toohey.

The round bowl should be around 3" in diameter.  Toohey identifies it a sugar bowl without matching lid by Oneida Crystal circa 1990.

The mug is a Tiara Exlusives 8 oz Hunter's Horn mug.

Thank you both of you.

Connie did you ever get to look up the Green compote, or punch bowl base?  I had listed them awhile back and you were away with out your books.  I would really appreciate it.

Respectfully,
Vintagerose : )

Egads, now what shall I  do?   Anyone ? The base I could live without knowing, but the green Compote is just awesome.
