Title: Uranium Glass Ring Holder
Post by: NevB on May 28, 2020, 04:24:38 PM
I've not been able to identify this ring holder. The central spike is similar to the Hermanova 18699 in its shape and the way it is moulded and I think it may be by them. Diameter is 9cm. height 7cm. and unusually it stands on four feet.

Isn't this the ring holder of Mystery set 145 at GTS....?  Herewith some other members of the same family

I have another model in my collection that is rather similar except for the scaloped rim of course. On one of the feets of the dark green one  and of the dark pink one it says CZECHOSLOV.......  Well, it isn't that much but it is at least a trace....

Thanks Eugenie indeed it is Mystery 145, it's always best to look there first. I've just realised I've got the tray that goes with it. I think Hermanova is still a possibilty.

The candlesticks in Mystery 145 also resemble the ones in the Hermanova 18698-700 set.

As Eugenie says, the ring holder appears to be from Mystery Set #145

but I also notice this ring holder with the 4 little feet appears often with Mystery Set #63

I suppose this may indicate Mystery #145 and #63 are the same manufacturer presumably Czech.

These are such pretty ring holders, I've never seen one like those before. I did happen to chance upon a pot with the scalloped edges and same 4 little feet in pink some years ago though, which looks like it could be a match.

This vase has possibly been identified as Stolzle and is also marked Czechoslov on the base.
I just wondered if there might be a link in the use of the mark.
