Even better.
My best find this year was a uranium Sowerby "Frog and Bullrushes" bowl - quite a scarce beast.
It was worth a day trip to St. Andrews and having to tolerate being surrounded by Etonians - we went to the rather more civilised Cupar afterwards for respite - my only finds there were a wfs amber swan and a couple of really great '70s Ravenhead "Beer Glasses" - a stupendous and practical design I have recently started acquiring.
Nothing as exciting as this find of yours. 8)

That's very nice Gary. I never see Monart round here at all!

Sue, which Ravenhead beer glasses are they?

I have a boxed pair, so I know they're simply called "Beer glasses", Anne.  :)
They're an unusual shape - the "stem" is part of the glass itself.

Perhaps I should start a thread sometime on the textured/designer-shaped drinking tumblers I've been squirrelling away! I rather like them, but then there was the huge fuss and surge in interest in all the Alexander Hardie-Williams printed tumblers (which I'm not overly fond of) so I reckoned I'd been pipped at the post regarding any tumbler followers!
I still really prefer the textured/designer-shaped ones.

this is the "Beer glass". :)

Sorry for hi-jacking, Gary. And yes, It's a great buzz - spotting something on the shelf, making a bee-line for it, trying not to get over-excited because it's probably broken, getting it in your mitts and then checking and checking and checking for damage, excitement rising as none is found... or serious pissadointment when it is!

Weird finding an. other frog and bullrushes.
Honest! My brother and partner found this design very early on in our glass interest, liked it and set about trying to find all the shape variations and colours. So they've been keeping an eye on the market for them for well over 10 years - and they do not turn up very often at all!

Now, (like buses  ;D ), this is 3 of them turning up all at once (one was found on ebay just the other week)
