Title: Tall Lead Glass Pitcher
Post by: petet63 on December 20, 2015, 05:25:20 PM
I could do with some help with this very busy piece. It is 31cm in Height. Has Raspberry Prunts, Grape and Vine Etched/Engraved with some Decoration near the rim. The Handle is nicely twisted in a 'G' Shape. Ground and Polished Pontil. It came with 5 other Jugs & Pitchers. (One is a Webb with the Mark dating it to 1906 - 35)

Just another thing I would like help with is something I have heard or read somewhere but cannot find anything about. Is it true that the way handles were applied can help to date some pieces. Something along the lines of after the date 18?? the bottom being attached first and curling the handle up changed and after that the handles were attached at the top then bottom or Vice Versa. This could even be a strange dream I had !! or am I losing my mind ??? ;D
