Title: Swan Identification - ID = Arklahoma Art Glass aka Ozark aka Sooner Glass
Post by: bigrod on January 14, 2019, 05:32:19 PM
Hello,

I'm new to glass collecting and am hoping for assistance determining if this swan is Murano or not. It is heavy for its size (the bowl area is 9" in diameter), there are plenty of air bubbles throughout the glass and the colors are deep and rich. Thank you in advance.

More likely "Sooner glass":

Thank you, I guess I couldn't have been so lucky, but it is a nice piece.

Nothing wrong with Sooner glass! Very pretty pieces. The only thing that I have against it is that it is so easily broken.

Or even Mexican, as that looks like recycled glass to me

Good eye, Lustrousstone. Per the second link above, from the Glass Museum, Sooner/Arklahoma glass is commonly made from recycled glass.
